just curious if anyone here has sold their car due to TOO MUCH attention? 90% of the cops love to find an excuse to pull me over and i cant leave the house without some ******* wanting to start something. or the countless stares from everyone else.

i'm in Valley Village.....5 min form Burbank.

i get stares from cops.....and there are plenty of riced out civics in the valley that rev on me.
but u know, lately kids in 350z's and g35's are trying to mess with me.
cops do give me dirty stares, but NOTHING like in hollywood (i moved out of there 6 months ago). i got pulled over in hollywood every 2 weeks.

Perhaps it's because you can't drive 55?

We've got an influx of underaged kids in overpowered cars around here so I get a lot of kids ****ing with me on the streets.

 

I have been pulled over 2 times in 2 years in LA in my Evo. Both times I was speeding, both times they gave me a warning. I have never had a problem and it always strikes me as odd when people do. Oh, and I have no front plate either.

 

I've never been pulled over in my Evo (knock on wood), but I do get people revving at me in cars of all sorts (most random was an old school rabbit). It's annoying, but if you don't do anything wrong, you'll be fine.

 

Just don't give them a reason to even pull you over. People always try to race me, but I never do because it isn't worth it in California. They actually sell your car or impound it for 30 days. I believe its $200 per day in the impound.

mines worse, i get pulled over everytime i leave the city because they think i stole it. asian guy in an evo

 

I have only gotten pulled over once and I was speeding and I knew it. Besides that I got no attention until I put my Volks on and now everytime I come out the house some one is trying to race me or rev on me.

I don't drive it that much, but in GA most cops don't even look at me when I do. I have actually been seeing a lot more older people in Mustangs and such getting pulled over more. I am only 22, but don't look it, but again I don't give reasons to be pulled over.

Bottomline, I wouldn't sell my car because of it.

 

Annoying getting revved at, staired at, and people you dont know coming up to you all the time. Cops have yet to bother me, knock on wood.

I agree with you totally. Just bought a stock hood, came with a CF one. Planning to get the rexpeed wing and looking into getting my intercooler painted black. Hope it will help.

 

Forgot to add in my earlier post, this is the reason I now have a low wing. I hated the negative attention associated with the stock one. I feel like it has def. helped a lot.

6) put resonators/muffler back on the car

I'd rather sell the car.

I got alot of attention in my MR including tickets for having a modified exhaust (100% stock), but it came with the territory of owning such a raw car so I didn't mind that much.

I actually heve to say that contrary to popular belief i really haven't gotten messed with by the cops since i got the evo. I think because it's white. I had a yellow 02 oz lancer before the evo and in the time i owned it probably had close to 40 tickect for everyting u can imagine. I do have to say i am a bit more mature now (24 comrape to 20 back then) as far as the stares i love em, specialy from girls.
