The vr4's across the pond were RHD's. The ones that they boated over here were LHD. Don't know if this helps you out at all

 

I might know where there is one. PM me for my phone number. If you know a guy that got one for 7,000 he stole it. That is very cheap. I paid way more then that for mine and the engine was blown and it was bone stock. Be ready to spend 10,000-15,000 if you really want one, and the condition of it might leave a little bit to be desired. If you live in the Illinois area I might also be able to help you get it legalized also, but im not promising anything.

You can import any of them but they just won't be "street" legal.

 

If you have some ambition you could buy a US galant and buy a JDM front clip and cut your firewall out and weld the right hand drive in. But then you have to find the right hand drive door panels. I have a source in Hong Kong that might be willing to help you out if you are serious about this. Please don't blow smoke. Right hand drive isn't that big of a deal, why do you want it so bad???

 

Yes they can be, you just have to go about it the correct way. Mine is 100% street legal, with a VIN assigned to it by the state of Illinois.

 

nah im not gunna cut the firewall and stuff, i want the real deal... i would hate telling people that i cut it to feal cool all cause of right hand drive!!!

I say if you want a GVR4, just get a US one. I used to have one (amongst 10 DSM's) and loved it. If it is an early evo that you want.... well, that's a little tougher.
