On one side of my car the rear bumper meets up with the fender a little tighter than the other. Also, there is a gap between the headlights, trunk, and bumper. I am fairly sure that is normal.

Can you post up some pictures of the gap? I dont know if you tried comparing it to other Evos but they do have gaps from the trunk to the bumper. about 0.5 inch.

or im just not seeing your picture.

oddly enough it did rain last night, and i checke din morning and found no sign of water...however i'm concereened too with snow that will sit up there, might find its way in the trunk....the gap is way to big to be "like that from the factory"...some foul play must of happened, now i'm not the type to run in an office and turn chairs and tables over...but what other options are there.

New Jersey accidents don't get reported to carfax unless it exceeds a certain amount of money or damage. Most cosmetic damage doesn't get reported.

I've had 2 cars hit in this state, both with $2000 + in damages that went through insurance but was never reported to carfax. Why? Because there was no frame damage. Replace panel, headlight housing, paint.

NY on the other hand reports almost everything.

I'm betting someone had a carbon fiber trunk and jdm tail lights didn't mount them very well.

Since this post sucks without pictures and everyone is just speculating as to what is going on with your car click the below links and compare. If you car is similar to this one then most likely it was not in an accident and you are being paranoid.

ok, for instance in http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w...P4240004-1.jpg
which is the left side next to the trunk where it meets right above the tail light, my gap is about 1.5 that size, where as on the right size, the gap is about half of whats shown in the picture.

That's about all you can do, CarFax is not accurate, because if a person doesn't get a claim for damage it won't show !
