390 wheel hp - getting there

Just finshed my latest round of modifications - including my tubular exhuast manifold coated with thermal barier and port matched and a few other mods I'd like to keep under wraps till after tomorrow's race at Englishtown, NJ - (1st annual mitsubishi shootout)

Amazingly - it was pulling 390 wheel hp today and running very strong

Thanks to Pruven Performance for all the help - (love that big front mount intercooler) BTW - Pruven should be running some nice times with thier dsm race car tommorrow and will also have their black evo at the event doing runs as well

PS - I was so elated that my crazy master HP plan is working that I blew out of there to go do a test ride and forgot the dyno sheets - which I will get back this Sunday (when I stop by to see the famous SHIV tuning on the Pruven dyno) and I will post them up then !

I know you have answered this before - but what was your baseline WHP without any mods?

Sadly - I cant remember myself - and I dont have my ole dyno sheets with me - - from what I recall - most of the stock evos are doing like 230 - 240 hp on Pruven's 4 wheel dyno jet dyno

Awsome #'s Al. You are our secret weapon against those who would believe the new STI is more modable(not sure if this is a real word). You are a testament to the Evo's potential. That and you have more money to spend than most of us

Thanks ! ! I sure don't feel like I have any money these days! I want to buy the HKS 3037 turbo kit - but at 4700 plus shipping from japan - its just not something I can do right now - - - so I had to come up with some cheap mods like porting - fuel pumps - thermal coat and the like to try and make some more power

Your mentioned the "P" word....! Did you port the turbo housing or exhaust header or o2 housing or all of the above? 390whp is serious. What was your STI's whp on the dyno?

Speedlimit...
