Question Fuel Pump & Boost Controller, Needed or Not ? ? ?

First off sorry if these questions sound stupid but I am trying to get more Evo-Educated and who better to teach me than you guys!!!
I am in the process of getting my Evo 9 MR tuned and have a quick question in regards to Boost Controllers and Fuel Pumps. I am getting an exhaust, filter, and custom tune but was also told to look into a boost controler and fuel pump.
When the stock ECU is remapped dont they change the boost parameters then and there, if so why would I want to mess with it with a MBC? Would I only want a one if I wanted to do some fine tuning myself or are there other advangates to having one.
Also with my supporting mods listed above, assuming I will not be upgrading past this point do I really need the fuel pump or should I stick to stock, it seems most opt for the upgrade but why is this, what exactly does it do that the stock does not ?
I just want to keep the car as stock as possible but get it running the way it really should and that being said I know re-map, filter and exhaust are the way to go. I dont mind spending the money on the MBC and Fuel Pump but I would like to know they really benefit the car.

Thanks in advance,
MarK.

you can go with the ix fuel pump but put in a manual boost controller, no the tuner cant turn up your boost without it and it also holds the boost to the redline.
then hell set your boost at about 23 and you'll be good to go safely

Half perfectly stated.

Fuel pump = cheap insurance

MBC = LESS control.

I can run pretty much any boost I want at any RPM using the stock ECU to control the boost. I can make it go up, down, and back up if I felt like it. Go search on what some of the guys have been able to do by either changing out the restrictor pills or going with a 3-port solenoid.

i removed a restrictor pill and it caused the boost to jump up a tiny bit but it holds it much longer and its free

Yes but does the ecu some how know this to compensate for more boost?

In other words how much would this lean you out, or does the ecu notice the increase in pressure and adjust the fuel accordingly?
