In other words how much would this lean you out, or does the ecu notice the increase in pressure and adjust the fuel accordingly?
I want to know the same thing in reference to the boost controller in the sense that will my custom tune compensate for me dialing boost in ?

The custom tune should be performed after the MBC is installed that way the tuner can take that into account.

MBC is easy but DOES not provide the safety controls of the stock system..nor does it respond to changes in temp like the stock controls.

YES the stock system can be setup to control boost properly while reducing taper at much higher levels 25-30 psi. Just remember the stock headgasket may not like such high boost nor is it recommended for long term use

A good tuner should know how to setup the stock ECU and BCS to handle more boost IMHO and work with the modified fuel and timing maps without invoking more than 2-3 counts of knock.

The stock components in place will also not give Mitsubishi an excuse to void your warranty if that is important to you.

So what your implying is that a MBC will just allow for higher boost to be set and the tuner will take this into account when making the map. At that point the MBC should be left alone as turning it up or down will not be compenstaed for with the ECU ? So the MBC is not there to be played with so much as to work in conjunction with a custom tune set to a specific boost pressure as a flash alone can not adjust boost, am I correct ?

Thanks again,
MarK.

According to AMS, the IX does not need a fuel pump and their stage three cars still retain the OEM pump, that is with cams! An MBC will add much faster spoolup and much better boost control, the OEM unit is aweful.

Go get yourself a Hallman MBC, hey I just happen to be selling one

Search on me. IC piping is inportant too HEY!!! I am selling that too, check here!!!!!
