Warranty Bulletin

Being part of the EVO community, we all know the extent of Mitsubishi's gratitude on fulfilling warranty claims. Here is their way of expressing their anti-modification rules.

Just some food for thought.

I say we write him 100 letters each day and send it to his office...Either he will get fed up with it and start honoring warranties or he will get fired. A new person will be appointed and we cont to do the same....eventually they will get the point.

Seems fair to me, if you play, you have to pay.

Its all BS! Even if we were completely stock they would find a way to not cover it.

Why is it that hard for people to understand?
If you buy a car and keep it stock at stock power levels and something breaks, then yes, the car (and parts) were designed to work well at that power level and should be replaced for free.
If you mod your car and it's making 150hp more than they "designed" it to make and you blow your CD, then whose fault is it really?...
The ONLY part I don't agree with is them red flagging cars for future warraty claims just because they saw an air filter or something minor...

thats totally fair, we break it, we fix it!
no shock there...

my service manager just got back from some big wig BMW meeting in Vegas, for the 335 BMW will be coming out with a whole line of performance parts so that they dont run into problems like this. im talkin cams and all!!!
we are instructed right now that any car with a procede to notify about and there warranty is totally voided. yes they singled out the procede alone.

I agree with most of the people here.
You wanna play...you gotta pay.
When my 03 was stock, I havent had a single warranty claim denied.
I was even provided with a loaner for 3 days.

I think their are some isolated cases where the dealer voided warranty on a
stock car but I truly believe they were an isolated issue.

As of owning my 06, I believe my warranty was voided as of 7k mark.
That's when I started putting aftermarket parts on the car.
I've never had to get it serviced at the dealer so I am just assuming my warranty is over.

I also think Mistu should start carrying Ralliart parts and have the master techs install them with warranty.
It only makes sense to do it but Mitsu still being in financial struggle I doubt it.
It would be nice have ralliart parts readily available to a local or regional dealer and not worry about warranty voids and such.

I am sure some of you will agree with me.
