Anyone had this happen??

So today I was installing my new HKS filter I just got in from Japan and noticed a slight tapping sound when I ran the car coming from the other side of the engine! So I thought about it a sec and remebered I had the timing belt changed recently and wondered if it was coming from in there so I popped off the cam gear cover and here's what I found knocking around in there

These 3 pieces were loose in there and not too sure for how long...

And here's where they came from. Red arrow shows where they came from and the blue arrow shows some epoxy from where someone tried to glue it before. Guess I lucked out bigtime that it didn't get caugh up in the cam gears and screw up something! It's the little things that can cause you tons of money if gone un-noticed!

So I decided to leave the cover off totally which you can see if you look good. Guess I need some adjustable cam gears now

Yes I have had that happen. My timing belt cover broke and then dug into my balance shaft belt, which then snapped and wrapped around my timing belt and cause my car to jump time.

I've never had a cam cover on my Civic, never a problem...

Yeah...Lucked out bigtime. I took out all of the pieces that could potentially break loose and re-installed it for now. Deciding on a few things right now
