shaking on dyno

I dynod my 2006 evo mr tonite on dynopaks and the car started shaking and breaking up but wasnt pulling timing or anything. The first pull went ok and I made 285whp with only a turboback exhaust. We stopped after that and couldnt figure out what the shaking was from....any ideas??

I dynod my 06 GSR on a dynapack. No problems. With horrible 91oct (it's seriously bad... my car pings and knocks) and just a turboback, LICP and filter. I made 309.4awhp.
As far as the shaking and breaking up, do you literally mean it was shaking like the harlem shake? Or was the throttle just jumping all over?

How about the Dyno itself? Was it properly supporting your hubs? Was it in good condition?

my opinion is the dyno. ive seen this before with my buddies Talon. we tried another place later on and no problems. unless you jacked up the alignment or something.

those dyno's seem a little dangerous like something could easily break

misfires usually dont show up on a log, if theyre gapped to wide or are finished theres a good chance thats your problem

Cheers!

Hi, sorry to hear about your experience. I too concur that it is more likely be the dyno equipment. My question is did it drive normal to the Shop? At what speed did it started breaking up? Did something get disconnected in your car?

I just experienced fouled plugs same deal, breaking up in 4th, you could see it on load logs with evoscan, but no knock or pulled timing.

You either need new plugs or a tune.

Did slomo put it on the dyno corectly?

When i was on that dyno, before slomo had it, my car shaked real bad but it was because we didn't put the hubs on correctly

i think it was on correctly but literally the entire car was shaking...it looked as if it started in the rear dynopaks...could my lowering springs have something to so with throwing the alignment off?

Honestly I think you have nothing to worry about

If it doesnt shake off the dyno then you're golden

They can look as if they are on correctly but when you start spinning those hubs at 80mph, any little mis-alignment will get exagerated significantly.

I'm also curious about the air/fuel ratio maybe you were getting some spark blowout due to an overly rich tune.
