ok i've search for an hour and havent found what im looking for maybe im not using the right terms.

my question is where does the sensor get installed? (weld into the 02 housing or does it get welded into the exhaust pipe somewhere..

 

in the downpipe, you have to make a bung, it should include it with the kit and explain the process

I think the bung is included but you have to drill and weld it to the downpipe.
I had mine installed for me and If I recall that is what I was told.

 

ok my installer was telling me it goes into the 02 housing.

so where in the down pipe does it go? up top or bottom past the bend?

 

I believe it goes by the cat(or where it should be)...works nice if you have both a cat back AND a DP with o2 bungs already built in...this way you dont have to get a bung welded on or anything. Im lookin foward to puttin one on i just have to take the o2 plug out should be nice.

 

Install around 36" away from the turbo ( in downpipe just before your cat/test pipe). You do not install it in the o2 housing.

 

if you get a dc-sports down pipe and a catback with bung, you can use the extra hole for your wideband sensor

 

run away from installers that don't follow directions.

 

I installed mine on the downpipe 3 inches before the cat.

 

Good spot to install.

 

Will get mine next week, can't i just use the stock narrow band location, since i am running an o2 sim instead of it already?

My autronic ecu doesn't use the stock one, too...

Think i should be ok with this, right?

Mine is actually in the testpipe. Ensure you have no exhaust leaks to get a good reading as well.

 

Do NOT install it in the o2 housing. The wideband sensor is more sensitive and it will burn out being that close to the turbo. Right before the cat/test pipe is a good place for it, or in the testpipe.

 

Thats where i meant. Right before the cat. I would never install it in the o2 housing due to the heat.
