Well I asked my dad who is a mechanic how can I make my tailpipe shoot flames. He said I can weld a spark plug inside the exhaust and have the wires connected to a button in the car. Hehe anyone think that'll work? My dad could be BS'n me but It might work right? I might try it in one of the loaner cars at the shop.

Once again Hollywood has managed to take something pure, corrupt it, bottle it up and sell it to everyone it can in the name of $$$.
Well that's enough of my ranting...

It has flooded it with loads of kids who have no idea what they are doing that "rice" the hell out of cars. I wish they would get it through their heads that putting neons and body kits on a car is pretty lame. It just seems stupid when a car looks "fast" but it is nothing more than stock. It's like a sheep in wolf's clothing. Tune the car first, then you can put on a body kit.

for some reason i like neon lighting underneath cars. i'll never do it because some where down the road it got the 'rice' label. a shame.
this is all just going to turn into another one of those "what's rice?" debates which is pointless.

If you want a system that shoots flames but actually serves a purpose other than "pretty fire light show" find yourself an antilag system. Antilags push the engine combustion into the exhaust whenever you lift on the throttle. So as you lift your turbo dosn't spool down and you get instant throttle response when you get back on. WRC cars use a similar system and complain to high heaven when its not working.
The one's I saw overseas (Claudius would have more information) usually had switches where you can turn the antilag system on and off and can vary the amount of KABOOOM that comes out of your tailpipe. Its not some pretty colored propane system for show... its a nasty orange yellow engine pop that can scare people like nobodies business, but when tuned properly it can really increase the racing performance of a turbo car.
But if you want pretty flames... get a propane kit and don't screw with your timing.

I replied in a post on the evo tech forums about an ALS, and a bit up the page on this post too. If you are looking for something that makes noise, flames, and smoke, and is actually beneficial to your performance, then you should look at an ALS. While it does get rid of turbo lag, it causes a fair bit of damage to your turbo and exhaust if you don't get them upgraded. Also if you still have a cat in your exhaust, it will be roasted in no time with anti-lag.
Here's a clip of a car with an ALS ---> http://www.22b.com/video/als.mpg
Nah, als systems aren't the devil. Yes they can seriously raise temperatures and they are hard on exhaust, cats and turbo... but I would consider it for my stock street car because:
- you can turn it off.
- you can adjust most of them for different timing.
People on here already suggested retarding timing to the point sending fuel into your exhaust... unless you can do that on the fly its going to hurt just as bad.
An anti lag system should only be used for specific reasons. If all you want to do is shoot a flame out every once in a while then you turn it on, rev to 6k, release and watch Johnny's pants catch on fire. Then turn it off. For racing you turn the effect way down. You don't want fire shooting out your tail pipe, you just want your turbo to keep spooled.
Personally I was going to consider one for an Street Mod Autocross car... but that car would be catless with a racing turbo anyways so I really wouldn't be too worried about using the system, but I would consider its use for 60 seconds even without those mods.

You could also get the Bee*R rev limiter. To limit rev. this cuts spark not fuel for a nice flame when you hit the limiter.

I want to get one when I get my Field wire harness "extender".
