MR Shift knob removal

I know that many of the members have had issues with the removal of their MR shift knobs. I guess I just got lucky b/c I was talking to Aspec about having them remove it and then on the way home, I was messing with the shift knob over and over..and then all of a sudden it just unscrewed with ease.
I was talking to Aspec about getting one of their knobs installed b/c the clear piece that covers the CF part on the knob fell off. I have been trying to remove the shift knob for the longest time and have had no luck in twisting it. The threads are still fine and not stripped. Has anyone else removed their MR knobs with ease? Most of the members I've spoke with have destroyed their knobs to take it off.

One piece of advice for anyone having trouble... Go to the gym jk
I usually have no issues doing it. I've taken off 3 of them.

I initially had a bit of trouble, but then it came off pretty easily. I think there may have been a little lock-tite involved when mine was put on judgeing by the dry powder on the threads.

Huh? It just spins off with ease. No problem at all and no allen stud to remove.

This part on the IX MR is no different than the VIII MR.
