I used to pay $289 for Geico back in the day and then they wanted to raise it to $315 a month. I switch to State Farm with much much much better coverage and I even having towing and rental insurance too and my rate was $189 a month and it it just went down a month ago to $165 and I do not have a clean record. Stick with the good companies like State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, American Family, etc. Geico and ensurance are scams.
Do you have anything to backup these claims about esurance? (no really weak pun intended).

Same here, ditch the Corolla.

I'm in the same situation as you, but after I drove the Evo, I know it had to be my daily driver. Too much fun to drive it.

Well my sister had esurance for about a year in her maxima and when she got into a minor fender bender which caused damage to the front bumper and hood it took them 3 months to fix it. They also recommended one of the cheapest body shops in town which did a **** poor job that had to be redone.

I also had a friend who switched to esurance when he found out his rates would drop drastically compared to Geico and when someone keyed his car they said that they would not cover it. after 6 months of yelling and screaming they finally gave in.

So they'll fix it but it's not worth the trouble you'll have to go through. Plus why would you insure a $30k with a crap insurance company that going to fix your car with inferior parts once they do decide to give in???

I'm also not saying Geico is bad they are a very good and reputable company but they are no longer the cheapest out there, they are actually one of the most expensive.

1. Sell the Honduh Pilot, private party. Take your time to sell it and get full value for it. You're in no rush as you have two other vehicles.

2. Daily drive the Corolla - cheap to run, to insure, to maintain.

3. Enjoy the Evo as a toy.

I'm now going to drive the Evo. It's been in "storage" way too long....

tough to justify the evo when it makes more sence to run the toyota. I have seven cars at the moment. One of them is a s10 truck that is paid for and gets 33mpg, but its no STI. I would say look for less expensive insurance and run the evo and keep the toyota on the side.

I would shop around for insurance if I was you. My evo is currently under the same policy as a Lexus and a Mercedes and I pay roughly $500/6 months for the evo, with a not so clean driving record.

With a 125 mile round trip commute, I'd drive the corolla and save the mileage on the evo. Unless a good portion of that trip was open country roads how much more fun is the evo anyway?

And going a little off topic, but based on the advertising puns, I've got another one. I always get a laugh out of this one Ford commercial. It starts off with the line "You didn't buy your sedan for excitement." and I always think, "I didn't? Then why the hell does it need premium gas and make 300 horsepower?"

If you are a government worker check out USAA. They could probably hook you with better rates.

Im paying roughly 900/6 months for full coverage on the Evo and liability on the Jeep. Granted, the Jeep was only about 150/6 mo before I added the Evo. Im with Geico now, but definitely thinking about checking out some other insurance companies. And Im 27, clean record, and single, with no kids.

i know it sounds like one of those scam sites but it isn't it's more like an independent agent so you'll be able to get quotes from different companies and the "agent" will work to get you the lowest rate because they want your business. also make sure that your homeowner's policy and your auto policy are through the same carrier, almost every insurer will give you a discount for that

I'm going to have to say +1 to Esurance, amazing rates. It was half as cheap as what i was quoted with from Geico.
