Mate if your goal is 8 seconds then forget the GT40R kit. You have to go GT42R...

Plus you need around 50K to create a 8 second setup plus the driver...

...and of course the money to maintain it... don't expect such car to be a daily driver...

This is what you do sell the Evo, and the extra accessories you have, and just buy a V8 or V10 twin turbo it, and call it a day.

ok........... and now because you're looking for an 8 second car..........i'm assuming you've already ran 11's, 10's, and 9's right?

or are you driving a stock evo and you just woke up and was like

"8's sounds good".

it happens man....

one morning i was stoned out of my mind. I went and took a motorcycle safety course, bought a hayabusa and added a turbo kit and nitrous. Later that night i went to moroso and ran low 7's, if i had a wheelie bar and parachute i could have ran 6's.

Its nice to see that the population of this forum knows real power. On Honda-tech Ive seen funnier posts than this and the responses are even funnier.Yea the power on an 8 second evo is achievable. Its the ground game you have to worry about.Good luck with that.Ill tastefully mod my DD and be just as happy as running some crazy low 8 sec 1/4 with an empty wallet and parts breaking religiously.

You will be much happier with the GT40R IMO. From what I was told go for the GT4094R PTE/Garrett turbo! Maybe thats what I will do next, built 2.0 and gt4094r wink wink...

I'm waiting for definitive results from that exact turbo in a .85 or .95 AR if not the tried and true T3/37R will be my choice.
