Clamp weights were correct to be used. If your wheels were balanced from the factory (which they were) the you would have had clamp weights on your wheels already. Since you requested that they be rebalanced, they HAD to remove the factory weights (which most likely would have left a chip or scratch) in order to rebalance them.

I would just buy some touch up paint and touch them up and chalk this up to a lesson learned the hard way. We all learn a lesson or two this way. It sucks.

So, if 'clamp weights were correct to be used', and the dealership 'HAD to remove the factory weights (which most likely would have left a chip or scratch)', then how do you get away without a scratch?

They usually will touch up the wheel for you, not replace the wheel.

i'd change your own oil and try to find a reputable but cheap tire service place for maintanence like that. I don't trust hardly anyone doing oil changes and such to my car. I caught wal mart one time running my car hard after an oil change.

This is the exact reason I take my aftermarket wheels off and put my stock ones on to get my free maintenance done. I know they 1. won't use torque wrenches and 2. won't use the proper weights.
I always tell them not to bother with the rotate and balance.

well i had came back a lil early to pick up the car and i heard them coming down the street kinda hard. So i asked them about it and they acted as if they were just doing their jobs and testing it out....yea right. I know what it sounds like when my car is given excessive acceleration. So now i won't go back.
