I just installed the S1 in my IX. The idle is very stock like. If you want them to lope adjust the 10-20 lload at 500 and 1000 rpms in the mivec map. Change it to 18

On the other hand I have heard a few VIII and they lope a good amount but that doesn't matter to you since you have a IX like me

they are stock almost to T; however just like a previous post.. you can adjust the mivec map to get lop but stock setting is idling just like a stock setup like u want... its the best on the market for wht your lookin for..
