Those of you with these cams... what is your idle like ? lopey like most cams ? somewhat stockish ? what ? what is your idle RPM set at ?

It idles pretty much like stock.

 

I haven't been retuned yet, but I hardly notice a difference in idle.

 

It idles rough and loppy yes.. but very sweet! (GSC-S1)

 

What the hell does that have to do with the original post?

 

I installed a set of s2's and they idle like stock. I would think the s1's would also.

they can be tuned so people wont know theyre even there. I tuned my friends car at the same rpm as the stock cams.

thanks for beating me to it... my point to use the s1's is simple, i dont want to change internals, i dont plan on ever going higher than a 20Glt so.... s2's or cosi's are not what im looking for.

Can't give you the exact answer you want (I have an EVO8 w/ S1 cams). The idle is lopey (mean sounding, but you have to be in that sort of thing). Idle is around the same as stock (900rpm or so).

 

i've heard some cars with GSC cams in them, and i've heard other evo's with other cams in them... personally i dont care if the car sounds mean, i just dont like the lope that cams tend to give. I have heard a few sets that dont sound too bad as long as the duration isnt too extreme which the s1's arent, i was just curious about how it sounds during idle from those people that have them or have heard them.... everyone's input THAT APPLIES is and has been greatly appreciated
