Would I encounter any problems if I was to adjust the actuator arm by making it shorter through turning the arm 1.5 turns?

What I am trying to accomplish is to eliminate taper, but I dont want to mess up my wastegate or have issues with boost spike. The car will be remapped this friday and this was recommended by the mapper....
