I'm planning on going to the DSM shootout that Buschur puts on every year. I'm gonna bring the Evo, but I probably won't be racing. Who else is planning on attending?

Can someone thats been in the past give a little more detail on the schedule of events? Saturday and Sunday?

Well, from you nick name, I have to tell you that this year there will be no more autoX events. So, there will be probably two drag racing events and dyno/tech sesion at the Dave's place.

I am going, hopefully with my EVO7. I wont be the fastest with juice, but I will be one of the quickest without.

Al, you are putting down some good times....let do it without juice. Juice is for the V-8's that cant keep up.

 

The buscher event does NOT ALLOW NOS - thats why I am putting on a GIANT turbo for that event

I didn't say anything about evo vii's - -

BUT - I know I will be the quickest evo VIII at that event

 

Forgive me if I just missed it, but I'm assuming Norwalk Raceway Park is in Ohio? Really tempting. Too bad I can't put MY Grand Am in the beater contest.

Quickest?? There will be more then a few 11 and 10 sec DSMs without NOS and probably 9 sec NOS driven one at least. That all aside of the Dave's 7s 2G look alike beast!!

Quickest?? Mid 12 sec will give a a mid pack position! Think about it! 1G DSM with full 2.5" exhaust (no cat), K&N open element, fuel pump and 21 psi of boost on 110 octane gas will run high 12s!

Where is Norwalk raceway park?.......what state?

 

Being an EVO forum, refering to an EVO, and replying to someone posting about an EVO, I assume he claims he'll be the quickest *EVO* there...not DSM.

That aside, I will be at the DSM shootout. I'm still undecided on whether I'll bring the DSM or the EVO, though... Decisions, decisions. I don't plan to seriously race either way.

I may head up since it's close to home. I will just go to watch as I suck at drag racing. Much better at road course racing

 

If you look at the evnt info - you will see there is a seperate EVO catagory - - NO NOS allowed - I will be the fastest EVO in the EVO catagory - and my car will drive there and drive home

I know there are many trailed race cars that go faster - lucily they are not in my class

 

Are there hotels close to the track? Any recommendations?
