Too many people people run without cats. Why waste money in buying a cat and losing horsepower?

1. It is installed in the same location as the original
2. It is the same type as the original (i.e., two-way, three-way, three-way plus air/three-way plus oxidation)
3. It is the proper model for the vehicle application as determined and specified by the manufacturer
4. It is properly connected to any existing air injection components on the vehicle
5. It is installed with any other required converter for a particular application
6. It is accompanied by a warranty information card to be completed by the installer. These laws and federal guidelines are put into place for a reason.

more laws...

People would just have gutted out cats. Even though the little league sounds good, it hardly would get played. There are enough divisions out already.

I pass federal law in my CURRENT STATE of residence. In SC inspections are visual, so there is no emissions test.

Even if I were to go get it tested depending on the gas I was running I could get away with running no cat and still pass the test. I care because I think a test pipe is a simple mod that almost everybody does, and in order to make this sort of fun/full of competitors no cat is the best move.

also-
(Note that Federal law prohibits removal or replacement of a properly functioning O.E. converter).

If your going to be technical about legality of the cars according to DOT/Federal auto laws then this idea will fail because very few cars are entirely "legal". Removing your crash beam is illegal...

You can only have one, so unless you somehow put a cat in a non stock position, your only running one of those two things.

Well when I bought the car the mod was listed "Buschur High Flow Cat with test pipe" I knew I could only have one but I was kind of confused too. It has the high flow cat then...

You might need to modify the ECU rule.

The HKS V-Pro is technically a piggyback, but does just as much as the AEM.
