No, it wont hurt the car. You'll be fine to run without the tune indefinatley as adding an exhaust is simply going to make your motor function more efficiently.

No...it will be fine. Tuning it will get you the full potential of the parts you purchased. You will get some gain without tune, just not much at all. You would do well to get the MBC, boost gauge and tune though. A wideband wouldn't hurt either.

It very possibly could overboost with the TBE and no boost control due to the reduced backpressure, so it is not wise to do ANY MODS without a boost gauge. You didn't fill out the part of your profile that says what year you have, nor did you list it in this thread, so we can't be sure what you have. VIIIs typically respond to a TBE without MBC and without a tune by overboosting and causing fuel cut. As long as you plan to get an mbc, boost gauge, and tune soon, you're fine. It just wouldn't make sense to add a TBE+O2 and not add those other mods. Plus, the TBE+O2 costs a lot more than MBC+FLASH but provides less gains.

Not at all, but I like the way you think. We need more people that instinctively associate new hardware with a trip to their tuner.

You have a 10-sec Evo and ask these questions?

The MBC and tune will cost you whatever it costs for the MBC and tune you choose. My MBC, the Forge UNOS, costs $85. Not sure what you would choose or how much it would cost. Tunes (flashes) can cost anywhere from $50-750. Again, depends on what's available to you and who you choose.

You aren't sure if the exhaust you paid $900 is a cat-back or turboback? Well, if it only goes halfway down the car to the cat, then it's a *drumroll* cat-back. If it goes all the way to the turbo in the engine bay, then it's a turboback. *Hint - it's a catback*
