beware guys!! "please read"

i wanted to start a thead about how many people had there bypass valve on backwards from the dealer? i am one of them call me crazy but it true! i bet theres a lot of people that have theres backwards and don't even know it! so please check your car and if it is backwards please post in this thead cuz i really wanna see how many cars have them on backwards?

p.s. the brass looking hat on the bypass valve should NOT be facing up tords the hood it should be sideways! the side vent should be going tords the intake piping and the bottom should be going tords the intercooler piping!

guys please check your cars cuz you could be killing your turbo and not even know it and yes even if you never touched your bypass valve it could still be on backwards from

John

Not unusual, happens alot from the factory, and when I mess with it as well. I was going to mark it "This side up" so I don't get confused. How can it kill the turbo though?

Uh, there's probably several thousand pics of engine bays on here showing the proper configuration. There are also threads where they specifically show the orientation of the stock bov (or stock replacement) just so people know which way it's pointing. Go look...

I installed it on backwards once back in the days. It held boost well but when it went to blow off it was scary

bottom port goes to the UICP and side port to the intake. If installed backwards you'll get shudder
