I think EvoX comes with side curtain airbags as standard if ime not mistaken (who knows). I think thats the reason why they stopped getting evo's in 2007. Correct me if ime wrong but the government is requiring that import cars need to have side curtain airbags starting 2007.

Agreed...major deficiency with the Evo. I'm no "safety design engineer" so exactly how much side airbags would have helped I don't know (seat looks significantly compromised) but I'd bet having them would be better than not!

Glad your OK! i recently was in an accident where some one ran a red light and crashed head on into me in my old car broke alotta bones in my face, i hate America's ****ty drivers....sorry about your crash, definitely sue, thats what i did so i bought an evo lol.

Damn..... if the seat was crushed that way... imagine a passenger being in there......

ok lets not imagine.. GOOD thing you're ok! Just get a new evo and get some money for your injuries and move on!
