Another Statistic...one month old Evo IX

Well it happened, my dream car and I became another statistic... I was making a left at an intersection and had a green light. Oncoming traffic at the intersection is coming off an off-ramp on the beltway, and they also had a green light. I almost pulled in front of this van doing about 60-70mph. Shook the crap out of me. Haven't been in an accident since I was in my teens. Just had a lot of crap on my mind. So I was thinking to myself "man you just got lucky!" Then on the way home from Walmart I was on a divided highway with a speed limit of 50 at that particular section (55mph limit less than 1 mile down road). Now mind you I almost never do more than 10 miles over the speed limit. I was passing this slow *** SUV that was doing no more than 45mph in the left lane with nobody else around, I sped-up and passed him on the right side doing just under 75, and then WHHAAAAMMM! thats when it happened... I got pulled over. First time in 5 years. Gonna probably cost me the cost of the ticket which was $160 and court fees, but hopefully the judge will be lenient on me because of my clean record and drop the two points.

Short and Sweet: I didn't smash my baby, but it wasn't a fun day because of the speeding ticket.

I didnt crash, read the post. And I didnt say I wasnt guilty. There is a thing called Guilty with explination....

btw, I put that blurb at the bottom the the OP because I knew some people would be jack-asses and not read the post, but instead put up replies bashing me without even knowing what happened.

I was expecting to read about another accident. You had me duped at first. Don't sweat the ticket. Just pay it and move on with your life.

Go to tixnix.com - they will charge you 100 bucks but you won't get any points on your record (or do driving school online, it's easy as hell online)

Unfortunately, the extra ticket attention will come with the look of the Evo's.

Wow...I think Victorville put a curse on your evo. At first I thought the author of "Nightmare from Victorville Mitsu" just totaled his car. Glad it was just a ticket
