just wondering.. I've heard that EVO runs very rich and is
a major gas hog... so I'm just wondering whats the avg mpg
for EVOs..

approx 19 mpg, Washington, DC, 93 octane.

 

200 miles on a full tank under HARD driving conditions

220-275 miles on a full tank with moderate driving conditions

 

Getting approximately 21-22 on 93 octane.

 

Around 20mpg on 91 gas.

 

The highways mileage is the dissapointing one, it needs an overdrive 6th to drop the rpms 400-500 or so at 75+mph. I got only 24mpg on 2400 miles of highway driving at 75-85 speeds while on a cross country trip... if you keep your speeds closer to 60-65 it will do better though, maybe even see 26mpg.

The suburban commuting mileage aint bad, I am very happy getting 21-24 in everyday (mixed) driving around town when I am light on the boost. It will drop to 18 or so if I play in the boost much though, sometimes lower!

Overall I am pretty happy, just kinda dissapointed that the highway and city mileage are so similar, with a lower rpm (via an overdrive 6th gear) at 75-80 I am betting it could be getting 27+mpg.
