Trust me...Arnold is merely a cataylst to the problem. The start of all this is all of the F$%^ing idiots that not only street race, but kill people in the process. I agree that a exhaust doesn't account for being a street racer, but from a LE standpoint, how can they differentiate between evo afficianato's, and street racers? Any joe can pop up you tube (and other video sharing sites) and find THOUSANDS of street racing vids. I think it's a bad deal for us (evo owners), and the cops as well. Good luck man, I know it sucks..

I have the Tanabe Concept G-Blue on my car for about a month now. A cop pulled up right behind me while I was gettin on the freeway but he didn't do anything. Just passed right by me. I've been lucky so far. (Knock on wood)

Yea, those political leaders and crap are the ones saying let's save the earth, waste less fuel, (therefore pull over all the modified crowds), but are also the ones taking private jets every where which I'm sure burns WAY more fuel than our modified intake and exhausts!

In Arkansas we burn squirrels for fuel. Here, the ratio of wildlife to polluting vehicles is so negligible, that Cali's emissions requisites seem like more of a PR gimmick than true concern for the environment.

BTW, Arkansas roads are far more appropriate for rally cars, anyway!

I guess I'll be the only guy with a dissenting opinion on this. Does this issue in Cali really surprise anyone? And when it spreads nationwide eventually, will that really surprise us? A test pipe, cat delete and other illegal mods to the intake/exhaust are supposed to only be made for the racetrack. They don't really belong on the street. Same goes for loud exhausts...the crap cans on Civics and big boomers on Mustangs...they don't really belong either. And I agree on the point about Harleys. Cops really need to start cracking down on loud bikes...they're WAY louder than our cars.

I bet Texas is good living, many of my friends from NYC moved there and are doing so much better for themselves down there

what do you mean surprise? who's suprised? it's the implementation, the bias. you ever seen a camaro with flomasters get pulled over for doing 3 times the stupid **** slow *** ricer civics do? for loud exhaust?

you own an evo you get profiled. is that right and fair? perhaps under your overarching idea that all fun cars should be banned in favor of greener more dull vehicles and that will propagate through the nation. well sir, START WITH THE MOFUGGIN SUVS PLEASE. sorry but sincerely... not everyone needs one, especially with the scoob wagons around. thank you buhbye.

on that note why don't we ban all guns too cuz guns kill people, not the people who pull the triggers. let's not attack our problems at the root... let's just trim the hedges so the rich guys stay rich. and let's lash out at all the wrong people when things go wrong.

let's be american

Yeah seriously, modded 4 bangers don't pollute nearly as much as all these ignorant dumb asses driving their hummers everywhere. Start with them! If you live in Cali, I'd say its about time to move! Its going to get worse before it gets better...stupid hippies...

at some point if this stuff continues to get out of control i'd say we do what japan does... force people to get rid of old cars that get crap mileage. everyone has to drive something green and that forces you to have to have a weekend only car or drop the hobby.

OR

get to the damn biofuels already.

you guys pick.
