Exhaust Silencer

how many of you with the option to put a silencer in your exhaust tend to use it on long trips or in high traffic areas. Reason I ask is that I am looking to get my exhaust installed this weekend or next. I opted for a HFC instead of a TP due to emissions worries and I heard the HFC will keep it a tad quiter.

I drive about 25 miles each way to work, and sometimes some bumper to bumper traffic. I also tend to see about 4 or 5 cops on the way going and about 1 or 2 on the way home. They have their typical hangouts.

So question is. Should I put the silencer in during the work week and take it out on the weekends or just say the hell with it.

I don't, because it robs more power and kills spool worse than having the stock exhaust.

Just say, the hell with it. It is a pain to take in and out too.

The silencer is a very bad idea on a turbo car. It makes the car really slow, the turbo barely even works, and its not even any quieter and the turbo sounds like a chain saw.
