finish installin mbc, capping is useless?

had a shop finish installin my mbc, i told him to cap the area where it looks like a fuse but he said it's not necessary. is this true?? there is just a hose there now that's connected to nothing instead of removing the hose and cappin it. will it be ok just like that because my car will be getting tuned tomorrow.
