Andy (white Celica) just sent me a link to our last lap. There is a good shot of Owen (CTR) going around the Karussell and then Alex (lime green Celica) and I to the finish.

That is probably the coolest trip you could have taken. Lucky mo fo.

How do I get my car and myself to Nuremberg from NYC? Are there cruises to Germany that take cars?

It's not Nuremberg, it's Nuerburg... although either way you'd at least be in Germany...

I am not sure what you need to do since my trip started in the UK. It would probably be better for you to fly over and rent a 'Ring car. Many of the hotels have track prepared cars they rent out.

Nürburg can be spelled Nuerburg, since any 'Umlaut' (ä, ö, ü) can be spelled without the dots above the letter, in which case it must be followed by an 'e'. So next time you're too lazy to find 'ü' in your ASCII character set, just type 'ue'.

BTW - great pics. I'm hoping to go over there sometime this year.
