JIC Spartan DE Type 1 ST Exhaust Silencer (whew)

Does the silencer that comes with this exhaust really hurt performance?

3in pipe reduced down to 1.5in....yes i believe it will hurt performance. but at least you get stock quietness.

Um, silencers hurt performance worse than having the stock exhaust. However, I've never heard of a "JIC Spartan DE Type ST Exhaust," so I can't speak for that exact exhaust. Not sure why anyone would give an exhaust so many names or why anyone would buy it either.

PS. Searching is your friend - there are threads with dynographs showing this.

It's not an exhaust but, for example: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR SE Edition or Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type C.

I think it's a Japanese thing
