2 quick questions (bov and "tick")

first off, I had my car sitting in my driveway at idle and I decided to pop my hood just to see if maybe I can hear a leak. (because I cant hold more than 12psi) I can hear air coming out of where the flange on the uicp meets with the hks bov. I shouldn't be able to hear air right?

And secondly. . I'm getting worried about my "ticking sound"
When I really listened to it today it goes with the rpms (ticks faster as the rpms get higher) But I have to be outside of my car to hear it. . Now it does sound like its coming from where the intake mani meets the block, Which is of course where the injectors are located. . But its a pretty loud tick and if its my injectors ticking, would they tick faster as rpms got higher?

Thanks everyone!!!

Fix the leak.

The sound is 100% normal and should increase in frequency as revs go up.

So Sap, it should not be leaking any air at the flange correct? Could that possibly be why I cant build more than 12psi? I mean thats a pretty good size leak!. . .

If air is coming out of the flange there is definitely a leak. I would try re-seating the C-clamp on the BOV.

You can tell its your injectors by placing a screwdriver on the injectors and revving the car with your other hand. If you feel the clicks through the screwdriver and they coincide with the clicks you hear, its the injectors. If they dont coincide, its lifter tap.

EDIT: You dont have cams listed in your sig, so its not lifter tap. You are fine, now go fix that leak.

Even if its lifter tick its completly "cosmetic" isn't it?

And as for the leak, hopefully I found my problem!

My question is, how have you gone all this time and missed such a big boost leak? I would figure that would be an obvious leak.
