Question CF Dash Trim Replacement - Not Overlay ?? (and Ralliart Q's)

Hi Everyone,

I have been looking all throughout google and search for a company that makes a piece to replace the faux CF dash trim on the evoi IX. I believe there are numerous pieces available that would overlay with the existing pieces and attach with tape, but so far I have not definitively found a place that would _replace_ the trim.

It looks like Fibercation.com might offer such a piece based off a pic in their gallery, but after looking at the image, I am not sure if the entire dash vent would need to be replaced. (see here: http://fibercation.com/product_photo...dash_piece.jpg ) Anyone have this piece or know about it? Or know of other pieces?

From searching the forums, it looks like some VIII owners would replace their trim with the IX faux CF piece, but I am not sure what exactly is involved in this process. Could anyone shed some light and maybe provide some links?

Also, gruppe-s.com seems to sell the CF Ralliart center console. Does anyone have good exp with this piece? And lastly, while I am writing this, since the Raliart website lists the parts no. can you just call a dealer to get a price quote and purchase them there?

Thank you so much, take care guys.

Cheeers

Thanks for the responses!

In case this gets picked up in search by others looking for similar info, I will post what I have found out so far. It looks like _ALL_ the interior ralliart and OEM pieces are actually "Carbon Look" including the OEM dash panel on the IX. The ralliart center console matches the faux dash piece and the ralliart rear view mirror panel is also a carbon look piece.

It seems some dealers (maybe most) have no clue on how to purchase/import the JDM ralliart pieces. But after calling around, it seems that some of the more enthusiast oriented dealers do have arrangements (or are making arrangements - South Coast Mitsu) in their parts department to carry some pieces.

And lastly, from what I can tell, if you want to replace the dash panel and not just stick on an overlay, you actually have to replace the entire dash vent assembly. I have not heard anything back from fibercation.com yet. Reading through old threads on this forum it looks like some people have had issues with their QC, and in some cases had to re-sand, clear coat and finish the pieces. Hope the info is helpful, and thanks to the guys that knew about the question I asked and were able to share some info.
