Carbon Fiber Interior Talk

So I want to spruce up the lovely black on black on black plastic interior of my 2012 GSR. I thought a good way to do so would be to ad some CF to the mix.

With a quick search I found a few different options I would like for some of you that have experience with to remark on and provide pictures when applicable.

First is the Rex Speed trim kit which is an actual trim from an Evo wrapped in CF, very nice. This comes in at $260 and includes only the center dash trim.

Next is Evo R's interior kit which comes with six pieces including the center dash trim and all four doors. The downside is I believe its all an overlay kit (edit: it is) which may not be too bad depending on the fitment. Price is $489.

Any experience from the community with these products or any others?

I was looking into Rexpeeds cf dash parts as well. They are direct replacements and as far as Evo R's interior kit I haven't heard too much about. I'm a big fan of cf if it's done right!

I don't have a X, but I can tell you that the Rexpeed 8/9 stuff is top quality. I even had a problem with the post office cracking my dash piece. Sent some pics to Derek & he said no problem & took care of it. Good quality, great customer service.

I have the Rexpeed CF shift knob and e-brake handle and they are top quality and well worth the money. I also have the vortex generators paint matched Octane Blue and they are perfect color and perfect fit. I was reading up somewhere on here and Rexpeed is willing to do your door panels if you send them into them for an extra $200 a pair I think it was. Just contact them and get a quote. The only reason they don't do it is because of how Mitsubishi sells the panels.

Hey guys,

We can wrap the interior door trim pieces if you are willing to ship them to us in Taiwan. We do plan on releasing door trim covers to match the front dash piece in the near future.

Thanks
Derek

I like the idea of the CF door panels. I am not a fan of the black fabric on the doors in mine. Same with the center console cover. Any pics of this yet?

Agree with what boosted said. I think it would look a lot better that way.
