those arent new wheels they are new tires, called tweels, my roomate worked on them this year, you will see them on construction equipment but not cars anytime soon, they deflect too much under cornering.

Most def retro, mixed with the future. I thought they were going back square tire or something

 

first time I saw them was in SCC about three years ago

nice concept.. but boy did that audi look horrendis with them.. looked like baloon tires

 

They will be too expensive to use anytime soon. I'll stick with falken for now

if you like that sort of future car tech you should check out the Bose electronic suspension.

instead of springs they use large magnets and vary the current that they run through them in order to vary the repulsive force experenced. cool stuff
