those arent new wheels they are new tires, called tweels, my roomate worked on them this year, you will see them on construction equipment but not cars anytime soon, they deflect too much under cornering.

if you like that sort of future car tech you should check out the Bose electronic suspension.

instead of springs they use large magnets and vary the current that they run through them in order to vary the repulsive force experenced. cool stuff
