Wireing the boost gauge?

i have a autometer mech. 30-30 sport comp II gauge and i have no idea how to wire it up. ik now you have to tie into the fuse bax with a wire tap but i dont know what i need or what wire to buy. im going to autozone tommorow to get the stuff i need but i dont know wghat to get. also how do u tie the wire into the gauge.

please help me im a stupid retard that dosnt know what to do

Are you talking about the light for the gauge? You can tap the green/white wire that goes into the dimmer switch using a wire 16-18gauge wire tap.

does the autometer kit usally come with wires to hook it up with because mine came with nothing.

it should include the boost tube as well as a small roll of 22 gauge black and white wire

at least I would think it should

it should've come with everything you need... gauge, light bulb, light socket + wires, vacuum tubing...

You should probably call autometer and have them send you the stuff. did you buy this new in box?

yea i got it from AMS. are u sure a mech. comes with these wires. also i dont feel like waiting 2 or so weeks for autometer to send me wires.

The gauge your describing is a mechanical gauge. The wires everyone is talking about go to a bulb holder. That is merely to light up the gauge at night.

Otherwise, a tube from the back of the gauge to FPR/BOV/Intake somewhere and boost away!
