Isn't the 4G63 based off of a Turbo Diesel? Like the old SOHC Mitsu Fuso Truck thingys?

Where I live you can get diesel for under $3 a gallon, regular gas is still like $3.20 and premium can still be up in the $3.60 range. It is way cheaper to run my diesel truck than my evo.

Besides who evo is running a 10.4 like this truck. A truck that weights twice as much as our evo's. Check out the vid.

All I am saying is it would be interesting. If I was bill gates I would build one, but I am not so I will just speculate on how cool it might be.

I would rather see a 4G63T powered Ariel Atom.

Turbo Diesel is the future. You can make a lot of power out of a diesel (no need for race fuel). Limiting factor is gonna reducing the weight of the engine. The newer designs will rev much higher and run more boost.

Now that would be one sick ride. However, I think that once the boost kicks in with a chassy that light the car would be burning rubber in every gear.

The new WRX is rumored to have a turbo diesel but I doubt we will get it in the USA.

+1 too

we need to forget the old prejudices against diesels. New diesels can output the same amount of power as a gasoline one at the same amount of displacement all the while giving you more mileage per gallon.
