Any one have problems with their AC???
EvoM members, see if you can figure this one out...
After bring my 2005 Evo in for the 50,000 mile maintenance, everything seemed okay. After driving 15 minutes away, my AC (air conditioner) just stopped working. It was still blowing but only hot air. It seemed that the AC compressor stopped running...even though no work was performed on it. The only thing Mitsu should have touched with the AC at the 50k maintenance is to replace the in cabin air filter.
Now I have brought it back to Mitsu and they acknowledged the problem. They changed the freon and gave it back to me. At first drive the AC worked as promised. I parked it and grabbed a quick bit for lunch. Upon returning to the car in 30 minutes the AC again was blowing 150 degree hot air out into the cabin.
Called Mitsu and they said to immediately bring it in...
On the way to the dealership, I hit a good sized pot hole in the road and all of a sudden the AC started blowing cold again!?!?!?
If any has experienced this...or, has an idea of what this problem is...please let me know...
Thanks for taking the time to read my problem!

try this, when is stops blowing cold, pop yor hood and see if the ac compressor is on and if not then you know its something else. now, remove the driver side kick pannel, unplug each connector you see one by one and see what they look like on the inside. clean them and apply some electrical grease to each plug. try that and let us know what happens. i was having problems with my compressor kicking on and off with the lights that flash when you lock the doors so i did what i told you and its been fine since
and if thats not the problem make sure you find out if anything is leaking out. if they did what they were supposed to they would of found out if you had freon lost out of the system then found out why.
If there is no cracked part on freon circuit, I think it could be the electromechanical cluch (specially if cold air come and go!).
Try to check with a 12V lamp if it turns on when you start your AC, may be it's just a false contact. Wire it carefully and prepared for hot temp!
Good luck.
