Purchased mine in March and payed 500 over invoice (MR, Seattle area). The guy was getting pretty mad when I kept talking him down . You know the IX and X are night and day different and this was the last evo on the lot, so they didn't budge much after we got close to invoice. I know you can get it cheaper, so go make a good deal and save money for parts.

Just print this screen shot. Figure $900 or so to ship and if they won't match that price, order it from Southcoast.

I'd just rather drive 10 miles than 3000
Dude, follow that link I gave you in my first reply. They LIST THE PRICE in their post. $33,999 for MR-SE. Bring that to your dealer, and if he gives you flack for it being a bogus forum post, tell him to call the numbers SC provides. On top of that, tell him that $33.9 is just SC's "advertised price" and that you could probably get them to knock some of that off with a little negotiating. Play hardball at first and see what your local guy says. Good luck bro.

For sure...even on their autotrader for a car that has the exact options as the one locally to me they are listing it as $35,241 with "No haggle pricing"...so hopefully this works out in my favor.

As for that forum link...I'm a little confused why it says the MRs are sold out when they have around 20 on their lot ...maybe just no "extra" special pricing? But yeah, I see the MR SE pricing on there

Have you checked out Westboro Mitsu? Thats where I got mine from...great dealership btw, ask for Bill Dastou. They usually have a pretty good selection of Evo's, they had eight of them when I bought mine. Good luck!

My Evo came without the license plate bracket mounted as well. They placed the entire assembly (factory sealed) with fasteners and instructions in the trunk. I've only had the car in my possession for a month or so and I don't have the heart to drill the bumper to mount the bracket. Plus, I think it makes for a much cleaner look. So far no problems even though NYC req's a front plate. My endorsed PBA card is all the front plate I need.

Just got home, they wouldn't budge, so they didn't sell a car. I'm looking towards sunny california now!

They wouldn't go any lower than the sticker price? That's pretty unusual for Mitsubishi dealers, especially for an '06 model car. Good luck with finding a car.

Also, to add to the data points, I got my MR "SE" in May for around $33K.

Mine had around 4, but after prep and transport ended up arriving to me with 7 which I was fine with.

If you decide to ship, DAS www.dependableautoshippers.com is pretty good but be prepared to wait a bit for your car. They (meaning their drivers) take good care of the car but the scheduling personnel are idiots. Total time between the day I booked until the car got to me was around 5 weeks.

I would be weary about DAS they caused over 10k worth of drive train damage to my car when they shipped it.
