Japanese power law?

so is it in their law that cars coming out of japan cant b over 280ps? anyone got a copy of some info or anything?

It's not a law. It's a gentlemen's agreement between Japanese car companies not to advertise over 280PS. IIRC, Honda first broke the agreement by advertising their Legend (RL) at 300PS.

what a shame, japan could haev made even better stock cars. If only they didnt agree to that moronic agreement 15 years ago.

It wasn't an agreement to keep the cars limited to 280PS, but an agreement not to ADVERTISE over 280PS.
