One of my female friends once commented that my car was NOT worth being a $35,000 car..
The reason being is that my car didn't come with seat heaters, lighted passenger side 'make up mirror' and other things she would normally find in other cars. She even complained a lack of electronic interior stuffs she could play with..

I gave it about 3/4 throttle to shut her up,, shortly after,, guess what
She didn't say a word,, she just started to giggle to herself like she just inhaled a gallon of laughing gas

My wife isn't a big fan. When I brought my first Evo home, she said: "Man, RICER WING!"

My 18 month old daughter loves it, though. The exhaust drone is great for when she's fussy and doesn't want to go to sleep. I just take her for a spin.

Everyone I've taken for a ride has loved it. Funny thing is most of them talk crap before even riding in it, but once in the car and taken around a few times they don't mention anything negative anymore. It's great how people like to judge or comment on something they don't know, but once they've experianced it. They have nothing else to say but "DAMN"

Thats when I wanna take them out into the hills and scare the heck out of them and teach them not to judge the evo so badly again! LOL

Other then that, everyone thats riden in the evo has loved it. I only get the "Damn thats sexy" comment.

i dont consider what she said "hating"....she obviously dont know anything about race cars. if she was saying that this car is way better than the evo because the evo is this negative and that negative, then that would be hating and i'd laugh at it.

i had an experience once with another woman saying that her stock Jetta can beat my Evo on any tracks. she actually shut up right after i've shown her pics and vids of the evo on autox, rally, roadracing, drag...even street racing videos just to give her an idea what the Evo was made for. i just thought its funny when she said that nascar was more intense than rallying up until i've shown her a bunch of videos of rally cars including a bunch of Evos.

who cares? i didn't buy it for her, i bought it for me, and everytime someone catches me in a parking lot or in traffic and starts raving about the car she just shuts her mouth and rolls her eyes.

i told her if she doesn't like it that much, she can feel free to drive her car at anytime.

bottom line, it's not a car that is made to melt p*ssy. m3's and vette's and cars like that are designed to do that. the evo is just designed to fast. very fast. for pretty cheap, and i think it looks good doing it.

When i first braught home the EVO the girlfriend wasnt so impressed and said it wasnt worth $35,000 because of all the no heated seats, no power seats ect... I upgraded to an EVO MR from a Cobalt SS SC and she though that my $22,000 cobalt looked nicer than the EVO. But maybe after a couple of mods that will be diffrent
