On a Ralliart... give us some more info. Mods? Mileage? Were you driving hard, or just normally? Do you have ample gas? (Dumb, but sometimes you never know.) Did you overheat? Any CEL's?

1) Jumped timing (how many miles on the evo)?
2) Blown head gasket.

Those are the worst case scenarios. Plugs, I doubt it. If there was a pop noise, it could also mean IC pipe off.

Good luck man

I changed my profile since I have all the free time in the world while I sit in my car on the side of the road... it no longer says I drive a ralliart

p0300 is a random misfire which normally means you need to change yoru plugs. If it were a blown head gasket you could check your radiator fluid to see if theres any oil in it. and jumped timing.....well im sorry....I think its the plugs though.

Clicking as in wont turn over? Reading your post it sounds like it doesnt have the juice to turn the motor over. If this is the case, it sounds like a voltage issue. A dead alternator will force your car to run off the battery. As the battery drains, your motor will start running worse and worse.

Did you happen to have any warning lights prior to the motor running bad? Do you have full electrical function now?

That is what most techs tell a customer when they have no idea what they are doing.
