Clear Bra

Hi, I am getting my front end sprayed after a fender bender, and was thinking about getting a clear bra to avoid all the chips from all the freeway driving I do. Can someone who has the clear bra give me some feedback? I am currently looking at four options, but not sure which ones have SoCal installation available. I will probably call them all on Monday. Some other threads recommended X-pel (which I guess uses 3M) and Star Shield Armor. There's also ClearShield and ClearMask. Any info on any of these products would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have to let the paint cure for a couple days or a week before installing the bra. Check with these SoCal installers:

I am using the Venture Tape brand. Had it on for a year. So far, it looks great.

The quality of the install is just as important as the product. The areas being covered need to be perfectly clean, and the clear bra should be installed in a shop environment rather than outside so that nothing can blow under the clear bra while its being applied.

If your car is just got a fresh coat of paint, then I think its best if you wait several weeks for the paint to fully cure before having the clear bra installed.

I have Star Shield Armor on my Evo and two of my other cars. I highly recommend them. When you choose a kit look at the coverage offered by each manufacturer because they are not all the same.

You definitely want to let the paint harden for a few weeks before having it applied. I think I am gonna get my bumper, hood and mirrors painted and then have it applied.

I have the 3M product on my car as well and I'm very pleased. You can only see the edge from certain angles. I've had it for going on 3 years now and it still looks like the day it was installed.
