Yeah man thats crazy. I have never seen anything like that ever.

 

i had found a couple nut shells on the top of the intake manifold before but assumed it was a one time thing, an animal crawled up in there to eat and then realized it was something that moves and gets really hot so decided not to go back. i guess i was wrong.

 

and i'm considering putting some wire mesh at the front of the snorkel to make sure they stay out of there. at the very least i'm going to start checking it more often

 

lucky they didnt decide to chew some of your wiring under there. That would suck. All kinds of weird stuff would happen.

 

That is the craziest thing I have ever seen. I wonder how they all got in there.

 

those little rodents are flexible. Their bones are like mush. In the subways in NYC you see rats the size of your leg fit into 2inch slits in the wall. It's insane. But the nuts in the filter musta been hurtin performance.

Reminds me of when I first got my MR. Every day I would find cobwebs all over the engine compartment. Thick webs, almost like wire. Even down by the turbo.

And I don't mean a web or two. I mean EVERYWHERE. Some days it would look like some kind of Halloween decoration going on.

At my first oil change, we found cobwebs all underneath the car. All the way back to the muffler!

I used to wonder, what the hell kind of spider is this?!

Eventually the spider went away. Or died.

I'm still laughing... "weird thing is i drive the car almost every day so some days i may have taken them for a little ride." Zeus envisioning some poor little chipmunk sucked down on the filter at 19-20psi... eyes bulging, wondering WHAT THE HELL!!!

Imagine the filter breaking and a chipmunk getting sucked into the turbo...ouch
