Rattle at idle

Well i'm getting some rattling at idle push the clutch in it goes away. From past experience this sounds like a throwout bearing. Car shifts fine etc. Stock clutch unmolested. Is this a known problem with the evos? I've been searching around and seen a couple things. Next question is IF it's the TOB does the dealer consider this a wear and tear item and not replace it? Or is it under the powertrain warranty? Thanks!

Normal wear and tear on the throwout bearing (what it sounds like)......dealer would not warranty such an item.

It's not a problem, but a normal noise from the throwout bearing.

I'm going to see about adjusting the pedal. It does sit at the top. Maybe that'll help things out.

That's the only one that has had me worried. Everything else sounds normal. Injector pulses etc etc

Adjusting the pedal won't help that. When you adjust the pedal it changes how far the clutch pulls apart.

I'm hoping to get it to engage closer towards the middle instead of right on the top.

Right, it will do that, but it won't subdue the noise.
