OMFG!! INFID3L, I bought my RS new in 2004 and I've had this problem from day one. I brought it in to the dealership at least twice and the best they could come up with was to put a check valve inline. Mine is also on the drivers side sprayer but now I've got some damage to the paint around the sprayer and they are probably going to repaint it because of this. I've just learned to deal with it. Let me know if you figure out what it is.

It also happens with my 04 but only for the first few stops after using the washers...

Mine does it on hard braking. I've got a new washer nozzle on order- Drizzles all over my hood and spurs up on the w/shield....kinda makes me crazy after a washing the car-LOL

 

My 1st Evo did the same thing. I would get so mad when it would do it after a wash n wax. I eventually disconected the hose at the hood hinge.

Exactly what mine does. So far I've replaced the check valves and swapped the sprayers for newer ones. It still happens although not quite as bad. The water stains that your hood endures are what really really sucks about this
