No Recall!! Stock BOV doesn't have a problem?? It just isn't a good idea to boost high with the Stock BOV!!

Some ppl experiance gear grinds..while some peoples seem to be just fine after 1000-1500 miles!!

Some people got "rattles" from the passenger side...but there seemed to be a fix for taht as well..forget waht it was..

Nothin else that seems to cause a problem!! The engine is really reliable.. Mitsu has stuck wit this motor in this car since 1991-1992..idk forget exact yr! This engine is as reliable as it gets.. i know the car does require more maintance..not sure exactly what..

7000 with no problems.. your right about the periodic gear grinding, it stopped being a problem after the engine/tranny were completely broken in.. Its either I got better at driving an AWD car, or the tranny loosened up a bit to make gear changes easier..

No problems here.
However you can tell that this is a car with a $14000 base price.
I think the paint will be a big problem in a short time.
The only car with worse paint is the Lada!(Russian p.o.s.)

My initial impression is that the paint integrity of my Evo is FAR superior to that of my Cobra or the Z28 that preceded it.

I have only owned German cars before this car.
Maybe I am spoiled because their paint is 10 times better than the crap they put on the Evolution. I have more paint chips on my Evolution than on my 10 year old German cars!
Maybe the paint is better than some domestic cars but that is not saying much.

I agree the paint appears to be a POS. I washed my car on the weekend and noticed a whole bunch of little chips on the lower side of the rear door. There is about 4-5 of them each about 2-3MM in size. Very odd, but it doesn't look like someone scratched me.

Clutch seems to be an issue if driven hard.

Paint is fairly thin.

Thats all I have seen so far on mine.

The box w/ the HID level and the interior lights switch keeps popping off. When I put some tape to secure it, the interior lights level switch fell into the box somehow. I need to dig it out again.

besides that nothing mechanically!

I modded mine with everything in the sig while still breaking in the car, I even took it over 5k sometimes during that timeframe. The only problem I've had is one time the clutch slipped real bad when I launched it (dumping the clutch). Hasn't been a problem since, and the car is running wonderfully.
