Greddy Turbo Timer......

My friend installed my Greddy turbo timer and everytime I shut off the car and leave the accessories on (meaning 1 click down instead of 2 clicks and removing the key) the car revs to 3000 rpm. Has this happened to anyone else? Did he give me the wrong harness?

I have a Blitz FATT TT DCIV is my subie WRX wagon and love it, when i turn the car off. the car idles for about a 1min, the radio stays on unless i turn it off. i have never heard this happening. The harness could be a problem take a look at the wiring to see if there is a bad ground, but the thing is i have the Blitz FATT TT DCIV with a Hks Harness. All i can say is again check the wiring diagram is the instruction manual

Same thing's happened to me too. Doesn't happen all the time, every now and then. I usually just leave my tt off now.

it must be something with the ignition of the IX's.
This problem only occurs in IX's.

I have an 05 and mine did this when I shut it off at first, but I found if you are quicker with the lock cylinder this would not occur. I mean when you turn the key off, be deliberate to turn it all the way to off without poking it past acc. I believe this has to do with the tt switch over. There is a sweet spot in the lock cylinder and when you hit it the car will actually cut spark before the tt takes over. When this happens the spark returns due to the tt switch over and the unburned fuel will raise your rpms until the extra fuel is burned. Just be quicker with the key and this should not happen.

Mine does it too, it causes my HIDs to stay on when my car shuts off and messes with the ACD (all three lights stay on when car is off). I never use the TT anymore, but I will start when I get my new non-water cooled turbo.

This happens to me as well. Just like 4G said, it won't happen if you turn the key quick and deliberate. If you hesitate a little the rpm's will jump. His theory sounds about right as well, when it happens to me the car almost shuts off, but then the tt kicks in and the rpms jump. Yes it's annoying, but it's not that big of a deal.

I have an apexi tt on my viii and the only hiccup it has is that it will just shut off without the tt kicking in sometimes. other than that it is good.
