Prosport gauge problem, any takers

So i bought a 60mm electronic boost gauge and im just havin some trouble. So everything is installed perfectly by my boy who is a profressional and i got new vaccuum lines and everything but for some reason the gauge doesn't read boost sometimes. Then sometimes the gauge doesn't turn red when i turn on my headlights. Its almost like i need the gauge to "warm up" before it starts reading boost correctly. I dunno let me know if you guys think anything, on the way home it seemed to be working fine, let me know whats up.

im also having almost the same kind of problem, mines an electronic boost gauge and i've narrowed my problem down to the sender/sensor. and i talked to a rep from prosport and they said that it was a faulty sender and i will have to send it in for replacement under warranty. =] so i think you should email prosport and explain your problem and they will help you out.

Ok so I just got to work. I started the car and let it sit for a little then I got driving. Once I was sure it was warm I did a second gear pull and it would kinda go to like 5 pounds and that's it. I was pissed so I just cruised to work. I noticed in 5th gear it seemed to be working, so I gave it gas and it read boost like a champ. So I figured out that 5th 4th and 3rd gear read the boost fine, but second and 1st not so much. Any more ideas fellas

Make sure you have a constant power source. You know how when you start the car and your radio will turn off then on again that's not good for the electronic gauges. They claibrate, self check or whatever it is they do and the power change messes it up. I had problems with my Auto Meter electronic boost gauge, basically it would sometimes work, read wrong, etc... Hooked it up to constant power source and bingo, worked flawless.

ok maybe thats it, but my boy wired it to the ignition harness i think, so is that a constant power source??? it works sometimes then doesn't, now its not working at all. All i know is when it was first installed it worked all that day, then the next day when i started the car it didn't work. does anybody think its the boost sender, keep in mind my boy is a professional who installed it, so im giving him the benefit of the doubt.
