Getting Car Detailed

I have a local Foreign Cars Italia that has a detailing department that specializes in Ferrari's, Aston Martins etc... base price is 200.00 and then 40/hr for buffing/polishing. My thought with this place is if they detail 250,000-500,000 cars then I should be able to trust them with my Evo IX... thoughts anyone

I would do it myself. Is it a daily driver? If so don't bother.

What do you think? If they detail cars that cost 200-500k like you said you should definitely have no worries. Imagine what the guy in the Ferrari thinks when he drops off his car..LOL

+1 if it is a daily driver chances are you dont need it to be buffed by a professional unless you have no idea how to detail a car yourself... Look up mitsubishi here on the forums hes the local detailer and he can tell you what to do to save you some money and the satisfaction of knowing that you are the only one who is dealing with your car

it is a daily driver and i would detail myself, but black is not a color that i would fell comfortable with testing my skills on... as far as the "Ashton Martin" that is a new car with this place detailing i know that it is in capable hands... pricey, but capable

The worst part of detailing is you spend 6-8hrs wash, clay, swirl remover, glaze, lsp and then you drive it 1 day and it's dirty. I quit doing those super details.

i bought the car new, but the dealership did not do a good job cleaning the car... I am also extremely picky about the way the car looks and notice what most dont pay attention to

I got my Evo detailed yesterday. Then I woke up this morning and it was ****ing raining. I have a guy that has a portable car wash business. He comes to my house and cleans it inside and out and hand waxes it for 70 bucks. Does a real good job too.

Im definately not a pro but I did my first "detail" the other day.
Just a simple wash, clay, wash, sealent. But there is definately something to be said about doing it yourself, taking a few steps back and just admire what you just did.
