It was a escort passport 8500...it was a few years old. When I bought it though it sure cost a lot of money.

Thanks for all the kind words

That sucks man... I had the same radar a few years back, and it worked great.

i hate reading these kind of threads. it's unfortunate you had to write one, but good thing it was only the detector and not the whole car itself. what goes around comes around; people who have no respect for other peoples property have it coming. i hope this all works out for you.

dude, why would you leave anything in your car when you ride into the city? which station did you park at?

whenEVER I park the EVO at the Stamford station, which is rare (I ususally walk or take a bus before I drive my evo to the station!), I leave all my audio stuff and other miscellaneous items at home (CD player face plate, radar detector, GPS, etc.) and make sure I have my lug nut locks on. . .I trust no one. . .CT is getting ghetto man. . .

If u read everything.... I parked at the Southeast Train Station in NY. I have parked there numerous times with no issues, I have been parking there for years.

That sucks, sorry to hear that.
Personally I would rather them knock on my door and say "Hi, I was about to bust out your window to take your radar detector, but I know how much of a pain in the **** replacing a window is... Will you just give me the radar detector?"

Of course I would punch them in the grill, but still... A busted window for a radar seems hardly worth it to me..
